Transcription: In the previous course we learned a lot about creating XML documents. Now it's time to really dive into the power of XML markup. And XML is a true markup language like its predecessor SGML. Now you compare that to a language like HTML which is very tag oriented, in other words the tags are already predefined and you have to work within the scope of those tags, you get to use XML's meta language or metadata capabilities. And what that means is you can define your own markup to describe your own data.
